When we started out on this project, we were mostly concerned about the timeframe and the possibility of delays. Timberwood kept to their word and installed the entire kitchen reasonably with days (due mostly to other factors) of the original promised date. Similarly, their pricing was competitive and remained unchanged throughout the project. Timberwood’s office staff were a pleasure to deal with and the installation personnel really knew their trade well. The quality of the cabinets, as testimony to the trades people behind the scenes, were second to none.

In early April, I quoted seven custom cabinetry companies (yes, that’s not a typo, I quoted seven different providers) throughout the Niagara Region for the custom cabinetry part of my home renovation project. Our needs were to rework the entire functionality of our kitchen and install new cabinetry and appliances, design and install a wall-to-wall TV entertainment centre in the adjoining family room, replace three bathroom cabinets, and install a new laundry room. Our overall goal was to bring highly functioning storage space to a home that was virtually void of it, in a classic “transitional” style (part contemporary/part traditional).

Timberwood was referred from local designer, Brian Burgess (B.E. Burgess Design & Associates).

From the very beginning of the process, Tim was the consummate professional. I work for a company that is an active member of the Niagara Home Builders’ Association and I am around trades on a regular basis. I highly recommend Tim Vanden Ende. He is trustworthy, prompt, detailed, and a great collaborator. He does what he says he’s going to do, period.

Timberwood’s quote was middle of the pack in comparison, however they showed tremendous customer service, keen expertise and value-added. Tim conveys confidence, professionalism and teamwork. At the time the contract was signed (April 16th) and installation date was given of May 26th. The team at Timberwood delivered on time and on budget. Randy and John installed the entire project in three full days. There were not excuses, no surprises, no over-spends.

A small sizing issue was realized with one piece of our TV wall unit. Tim promptly made a call back to the shop and returned the following morning with a brand new, sized-right piece. Installation was not impacted. It was barely a hiccup but worthy of mention as the team was highly responsive on the fix. Impressive!

The team consistently cleaned up after themselves, sweeping and vacuuming after each day. Their work area remained organized and in control…despite my two children trying to observe, assist and interrupt with the occasional show and tell.

Their follow-up was fantastic. Randy returned to our place following the installation to ensure all was functioning well and to address any small tweaks that were necessary once we began using the cabinetry daily.
I would recommend Tim and the team at Timberwood for your next project. Trust me. It’s worth the drive to Wainfleet!
